Well, it’s the fifth day of the black and white challenge, so it’s the last black and white photo for awhile.
On a different note, we’re officially on our way to America. We’re spending the night in Osaka tonight and flying out tomorrow morning. Coming soon: POTD: America!
Yes, I’m still cheating and using the photo from my black and white challenge; mostly because I keep looking at them and telling myself “Wow…that’s actually a really nice photo!”
I took this one yesterday on my walk.
I really really like this one. Really.
Wow did it snow last night. And today. And the temperatures haven’t risen about freezing all day. Actually, it’s officially been below freezing since about 3 p.m. Since there’s a ton of snow and a ton of ice out there, driving was definitely not safe, so I didn’t go to work today. I did get out from under my kotatsu and went for a walk for about an hour this morning. It was cold. My toes were frozen blocks of ice when I got home.
As much as I hate the cold, I have to admit undisturbed snow is really beautiful.
Today was our big showcase and all went well. I took lots of pictures, most of which I can’t share (sorry!), but I really love this one and I can share it because it’s silhouette and their backs.
That’s two of the mirrors from the K5 version of Snow White. They did great and the mirror costumes worked beautifully.
Thankfully, it’s over for another year. The journey back to “normal” school days begins tomorrow (and won’t be complete until after the winter holidays).
Oh…and this was day 2 of my black and white challenge.
Pretty sure I’ve posted a photo of this restaurant’s food before, but it’s delicious, so enjoy another…this time in black & white!
Their pork fried rice, karaage, and egg drop soup have become our version of Japanese comfort food. It’s very good!
Brandon tagged me in his Facebook black and white challenge, so I am also doing the same challenge. I’ve decided to try to get some more visually interesting images, which may get a little tough this week, but I’m going to do my best.
Today was rehearsal for our big performance showcase tomorrow, so I spent the day at a big performance hall. While setting up for a musical performance, I happened to glance inside the piano. It’s really interesting. If you’ve never looked inside a grand piano, you should.
I was tagged in a Facebook thing today, and I’m supposed to post black & white photos for the next 5 days. Today, I was at one of my kindergartens. We watched Frosty the Snowman and then made paper plate snowmen. They seemed to enjoy the show and the craft, so that was nice.
