We’re off to Osaka for the weekend, so that means a 2 hour ferry ride…which means game time.
And booze. Must have booze on the Friday night ferry.
Brandon went to the Osaka Game Market last weekend and brought home a bag full of new games. We had to try one of them out the other night when he was showing me what he got because…well…is a cat game, made by the same people who made our favorite cat stacking game.
It would have worked a lot better on a flat surface instead of our bed, but we’re still sleeping in the living room, so the living room is still dominated by our bed.
I picked up a couple of buckets with a bunch of plastic hopping frogs while we were in America, thinking I could surely use them in class. Today I took them to my eikiawa (conversation) class with the K4 kiddos. For every correct sentence, they were awarded with a frog and when I ran out of frogs, we spent 3 minutes making frogs hop into buckets. Such a simple thing, but they had so much fun and were really disappointed when it was time to move on.
After musical rehearsal and our usual Sunday shopping, Brandon and I decided to play a couple games. One of our current favorites is called Sheep and Thieves. The object is to accumulate as many sheep as you can and stealing them from your opponent is definitely an option. We played two games today. Brandon won one and I won the second.
