Sundays spent at the baseball game are kind of awesome. We started the day with breakfast at Eggs ‘n Things.
And then watched the Hanshin Tigers get their butts handed to them by the Orix Buffaloes. I’m not sure why they out the “e” in there, but that’s the official spelling.
It’s been a fun filled day full of walking, standing in lines, Hogwarts, rides, more rides, more walking and these
Giants from the show Attack on Titan (ask Brandon about it…I’ve watched it with him, but I never pay close enough attention to know what’s going on).
Trying in hats.
We’re off to Osaka for the weekend, so that means a 2 hour ferry ride…which means game time.
And booze. Must have booze on the Friday night ferry.
Quite a view out my window today, flying above the clouds.
We’re currently at the airport in Osaka waiting for our train to Wakayama so we can catch a ferry to Tokushima so we can drive to Kamiyama. With 6 suitcases and a duffel bag. It’s a little obnoxious.
We have a 3 day weekend coming up in November and we finally decided that we’d like to check out the beautiful sights of Kyoto while the leaves are changing color. Unfortunately, all of Japan must have had this same idea. All of our usual hotel options are completely full. Other places that friends have stayed at and recommend…also full. Random hotels found online in our price range…you guessed it…full! I finally found a place in north Osaka that has good reviews and shouldn’t be too difficult to use as a home base for a few days. Spent way too much time finding it, but we’re booked!
I was planning to do a throwback today, but I forgot to dig up something good on my computer and now I’m in bed looking at the pictures on my phone trying to find something to post. I, of course, have a million pictures of the cat, but I was looking for something different. (No, I didn’t take any pictures today. Tragic, I know) I came across the pictures from our last trip to Osaka and to the baseball game.
First of all, I can’t believe I forgot to post this in the Kyuri and Pickles post.
That’s then getting ready for bed in the capsule.
I had a really great time at the baseball game and I’m really glad we spent a little extra for better seats.
And just because I really have a million of them, here’s a bonus picture of Manmaru.
Probably half the pictures I take of him end up blurry because he never stops moving.
The huge, neon Glico Man sign is one of Osaka’s famous landmarks. When we walked by it over the weekend, we noticed that it was covered and under repair:
Sad to think that there are probably people making their first and only trip to Japan, wanting to see this famous sight, and arriving to find it covered.
I think we made several new Tigers fans this weekend!
Many of them had never seen a baseball game before, but everyone seemed to have a great time!
Plantation Iced Tea and a malasada at Honolulu Coffee.
All you can eat pizza. I accidentally got a piece with tuna on it. Yuck. Not good.
Breakfast at Eggs ‘n Things. If you want breakfast there on a weekend, get there about a half hour before they open to be seated in the first wave.
Hanshin Tigers baseball! We had to leave halfway through the 7th inning to make sure we caught the ferry back to Tokushima, but it was fun.
