I saw this guy outside of today’s school:
Wow did it snow last night. And today. And the temperatures haven’t risen about freezing all day. Actually, it’s officially been below freezing since about 3 p.m. Since there’s a ton of snow and a ton of ice out there, driving was definitely not safe, so I didn’t go to work today. I did get out from under my kotatsu and went for a walk for about an hour this morning. It was cold. My toes were frozen blocks of ice when I got home.
As much as I hate the cold, I have to admit undisturbed snow is really beautiful.
We were supposed to go the Shikoku Field Day, but this morning we woke up to more snow. Yay. Instead, we spent most if the day staying warm and waiting for the snow to stop and start melting off. In the evening, we drove out to Field Day to socialize a bit and stopped for curry and naan on the way home.
As Brandon mentioned, we got our first significant snow today. It was enough to keep both of us home from work because of the accumulation and we hadn’t had our snow tires put on yet. I only took one picture today because I did not go wandering around in all the cold stuff.
It didn’t stop until the afternoon. So what’s the best thing to do? Bake brownies and drink hot chocolate, of course.
