My kids love to hang around my desk in the afternoons. Sometimes we draw. Sometimes we do origami. Sometimes we play games. Sometimes we take selfies. They really like to take selfies. Really. They like to try to get as close as they can to the camera while giggling uncontrollably. Then we look at them and they giggle some more. I end up with a lot that look like this:
Three of my girls decided to teach me a new Japanese word today…koma. It’s a top. They were decorating and playing with these big wooden tops today.
I’ve watched Frosty the Snowman 5 times in recent days.
I hope the students enjoyed it!
I saw this guy outside of today’s school:
We had our second snow of the season today. Becky’s commute is quite long, and the snow was quite intense, so she didn’t go to work today. My commute is usually about 5-7minutes to my Wednesday school…it took me about 15-20minutes today! Craziness! Anyway, here are my snow photos for today:
I was tagged in a Facebook thing today, and I’m supposed to post black & white photos for the next 5 days. Today, I was at one of my kindergartens. We watched Frosty the Snowman and then made paper plate snowmen. They seemed to enjoy the show and the craft, so that was nice.
Today, at the start of one of my JHS classes, each student gave me a hand made Christmas card. It was unexpected and heart warming:
Such a lovely bunch of kids!
The kindergartens that I work at have lots of cool blocks to play with. I enjoy building things and the students usually do too…or they like knocking things down, which is also fun. We made these awesome pyramids:
The smaller one on the left is about to get destroyed!
I saw this painted rock display at kindergarten the other day. They’re too cute!
Today, we made paper snowflakes in one elementary school class. I think mine turned out rather nice:
