We do monthly birthday parties for the kiddos at work where all three English teachers make birthday cards for their kids. Last year, I made cards that looked like cupcakes. This year, I made candy and I think they came out really cute.
I’ve been teasing Brandon that he has a work wife now. She’s part of the AJET committee with him and he’s been spending a lot of time with her for AJET stuff and just helping her out in general. So now I get to tease him that he’s stuck with two wives. So here she is, Brandon’s “work wife” Jennifer. (Oh…And happy birthday Jen!)
My kids love to hang around my desk in the afternoons. Sometimes we draw. Sometimes we do origami. Sometimes we play games. Sometimes we take selfies. They really like to take selfies. Really. They like to try to get as close as they can to the camera while giggling uncontrollably. Then we look at them and they giggle some more. I end up with a lot that look like this:
Today was our big showcase and all went well. I took lots of pictures, most of which I can’t share (sorry!), but I really love this one and I can share it because it’s silhouette and their backs.
That’s two of the mirrors from the K5 version of Snow White. They did great and the mirror costumes worked beautifully.
Thankfully, it’s over for another year. The journey back to “normal” school days begins tomorrow (and won’t be complete until after the winter holidays).
Oh…and this was day 2 of my black and white challenge.
Brandon tagged me in his Facebook black and white challenge, so I am also doing the same challenge. I’ve decided to try to get some more visually interesting images, which may get a little tough this week, but I’m going to do my best.
Today was rehearsal for our big performance showcase tomorrow, so I spent the day at a big performance hall. While setting up for a musical performance, I happened to glance inside the piano. It’s really interesting. If you’ve never looked inside a grand piano, you should.
